This is a work in progress so not completed and will have a tabard on so he will look rather different than he does now. Sculpted by the talented Paul Muller (his first knight ever so be kind) and standing at roughly 30mm tall. He will be removable from the rock he is standing on.
Looks great! 30mm? Do you think it'll be compatible with Red Box Games stuff?
ReplyDeleteIt should be close. It is not heroic scale so it will be closer to the GW LotR miniatures which are a pretty good match for Red Box Games. Actually all the monsters are a really good match for Red Box stuff too.
ReplyDeleteHe's awesome. So when can we expect this kickstarter to get going?
ReplyDeleteIt is looking like the last week in may. I actually want to get some master molds and have some actual figures in hand before things kick off. I want people to be able to see a finished product and the Rodman brothers are going to be busy until the end of April casting up stuff for conventions. This also gives peoples wallets some time to recuperate after all the kickstarters that have run in the last two months.
ReplyDeleteSo bottom line between 15 and 22 May I will have the kickstarter going. 30 day kickstarter.
I usually pass up figures standing on rocks on principle but that guy looks great! Excited about the kickstarter.
ReplyDeleteNice sculpt. How about 2 versions? With and without tabard? It's really that I like painting plate better than cloth, especially if the cloth needs a freehand design to look right.

ReplyDeleteThe rock base is separate so you can just put him on a standard base. Glad you like him though.
@gm1y9
Would have been possible before the tabard went on but now its a little too late. The tabard has a design on it so it shouldn't need too much free hand.
Perfect except for the tabard... ugh. Don't like the idea because (1) it's not in the original PH artwork and (2) as someone who knows a fair amount about historical armour I should point out that tabards aren't really found with "All Whyte" armour such as this. Not that it has to be historically accurate, of course, but the stylistic clash makes the re-enactor in me *cringe*.
ReplyDeleteProbably will join the kickstarter and get anyway, though. The detail certainly looks great otherwise.
I'm definitely a fan of this guy, and really happy to see Paul doing a Knight type figure (I have a soft spot for them). Now we are only missing a competing Anti-Paladin by Paul (I would probably die if he sculpted an Anti-Paladin), that would be too cool!
ReplyDeleteAside me starting out my wishlist, I'm really excited about the upcoming kickstarter (hoping I will have a bit of extra money before my June move)!
I'd have him as exactly per the PHB image as possible. That is one of the defining pictures of the field, no question.
ReplyDeleteHi can I still get this Miniature? Thanks
